Ultimate is played all over the world. From its modest beginnings as a gag game in the 1960’s it has evolved to a highly competitive amateur sport played by more than 200,000 people around the world in more than 40 countries. There are competitions played on regional, national, and international levels. A quick Google search on Ultimate + Frisbee + Asia will let you know that Ultimate is not just big, it’s huge. In 2001 Ultimate even managed to break into the World Games which were hosted by Japan.
It is only natural that Malaysia should want to join Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines in promoting this simple, yet exciting and fast-paced sport. Incorporating features from many major sports such as football, basketball, netball, volleyball and rugby, Ultimate is for everyone!
